Cybersecurity Expert

Location: Remote

About the Role:
As a Cybersecurity Expert at OYiT, you will design, implement, and manage security solutions that protect our clients’ critical assets.

You will work closely with our ITIL-certified professionals to ensure that our clients’ infrastructures meet the highest security standards while remaining compliant with industry regulations.

Your expertise will be vital in mitigating risks and defending against cyber threats, ensuring the seamless operation of our clients’ businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies tailored to our clients’ specific needs, particularly within regulated sectors.
  • Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability tests, and audits to identify potential risks and recommend actionable improvements.
  • Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and respond to security breaches with appropriate incident response measures.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to ensure security best practices are integrated into all aspects of our managed services, from workstation setup to cloud infrastructure.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to continuously enhance our security offerings.
  • Provide expert guidance on GxP (Good Practice) compliance and other regulatory requirements for clients in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a cybersecurity role, preferably within an IT services or Managed
  • Service Provider (MSP) environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, compliance standards, and best practices, particularly within regulated industries.
  • Strong understanding of network security, encryption protocols, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are required.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Entry-Level Cloud Engineer

About the Role:
OYiT is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Cloud Engineer to join our growing team.

This role is perfect for recent graduates or individuals starting their careers in cloud computing who are eager to develop their skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

As an Entry-Level Cloud Engineer, you will work closely with our experienced cloud and IT professionals to deploy, manage, and optimize cloud solutions that support our clients’ business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the deployment, configuration, and management of cloud infrastructure across various platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Monitor cloud environments to ensure availability, security, and performance, and respond to alerts or issues as they arise.
  • Support the migration of on-premise systems to cloud-based solutions, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to implement cloud security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security.
  • Participate in the development and execution of disaster recovery plans and backup strategies within cloud environments.

Cybersecurity Expert

About the Role:
OYiT is seeking a hands-on and motivated Entry-Level IT Field Technician to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining workstations, pulling network cables, and ensuring that on-site IT infrastructure is ready for remote team access.

This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in the field and are eager to gain practical experience in IT support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and set up workstations, including computers, monitors, peripherals, and other necessary hardware on client sites.
  • Pull and route network cables (Ethernet, fiber optic, etc.) to ensure proper connectivity throughout client facilities.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and testing of hardware, network connections, and peripheral devices.
  • Collaborate with the remote IT support team to ensure seamless integration and connectivity of on-site setups.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, configurations, and network setups.
  • Provide on-site technical support for clients, addressing any immediate issues or concerns related to the setup.
  • Assist with the relocation or reconfiguration of workstations as needed.
  • Follow all safety and compliance guidelines during installations and setup.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in IT, networking, or a related field is an asset.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, networking, and peripheral devices.
  • Comfortable working with hand tools and pulling cables in various environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment, and work in physically demanding environments (e.g., crawling under desks, climbing ladders).
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required, as travel to client sites is a key component of the role.
